Yeah~ this is the last part of my Fabric Flower Pen Tutorial. In this tutorial, you will learn how to attach the flower you have made in part 2 of the tutorial to a pen. I came up with this idea when I was trying to find a unique pen for my solemnization. A bride to be will just have lots of ideas to make her wedding memorable. I even made my own bouquet =P Perhaps next time, I will show you guys how to make one too.

Now, let’s go on with our tutorial.

Materials

material list for making flower pen

  1. STABILO pen
  2. Hot glue gun
  3. Flower (made in part 2 of the tutorial)
  4. Scissors
  5. Felt
  6. Masking tape/ Paper tape/ MT tape/ Washi Tape
  7. Craft boa

Instructions

Step 1

decorating pen using mt tape

Decorate the body of your STABILO pen using masking tape. The reason for choosing STABILO pen is because the pen has a very straight body, and the pen cap does not have anything protruding. Thus, it is resembles a flower stalk. =)

Step 2

cover pen cap with felt

Cut a small amount of felt that is enough to cover the pen cap. This is used to secure the flower to the pen cap. I chose to attach the flower to the pen cap because if your pen runs out of ink, you can just replace with a new pen and keep the cap with the flower. =)

Step 3

cut felt for flower pen

Cut the excess felt into 3 flaps. These flaps will be used to stick onto the back of the flower.

Step 4

glue felt onto pen

Apply hot glue on the side of the felt to be attached to the pen cap. Then place the pen cap on top and roll it up.

Step 5

apply glue on the flaps

Open up the flaps. Apply hot glue on top of the pen cap as well as the flaps.

Step 6

attach pen to flower

Stick the pen onto the back of the flower as shown.

Step 7

stick boa to flower pen

Cut a suitable amount of craft boa to cover the felt around the cap. Use your glue gun, apply glue around the felt behind the flower. Then stick the craft boa over it.
